Vintage postcard depicting a man on an ass in a rural Auvergne landscape, with a humorous inscription at the bottom: « Quuu sap de quen quartel vei vira moun bougre d'ase ? » and « Qui sait de quel côté va tourner ce b.- d'an ». Back: handwritten correspondence addressed to Miss C. de Gourcy in Montbrison, with a postmark from Puy-de-Dôme dated 23 July 1909 and publisher stamp « G.-Wefangens, photo-édit. »
