View of the gates of Buckingham Palace in London, with a guard in uniform and passersby in front of sculpted pillars with lions. The printed text at the top indicates 'GATES OF BUCKINGHAM PALACE, LONDON.' On the reverse, a handwritten note dated October 29, 1913 mentions a trip to Paris and a return to Lyon, addressed to Mr. August Tardy in Lyon, with a German postage stamp and the publisher J.F. Grimm & Co. London E.C. n°1222.
