Description

Postcard showing the Gothic ruins of the Chapel of Notre-Dame du Mûrier in Batz-sur-Mer, dating from the 15th century. The printed text recounts the history of the chapel's construction by Lord Rieux de Ranrouet after his escape from the English during the Breton Wars. On the reverse, there is handwritten address to Madame Grinot in Paris, a signature, and a canceled Nantes postage stamp dated 1901.
