Description

Postcard depicting the castle of Beaumesnil, built towards the end of Henri IV's reign by Jacques Le Conte, and bequeathed to the Duke of Montmorency-Laval. Printed text at the bottom of the front mentions its history and its connection to the Maistre family. The reverse bears the inscription 'All foreign countries do not accept correspondence on the front' and a handwritten number '24' at the top left.
