View of the Tower of La Miotte in Belfort, with inscription indicating that it was the site of the last cannon shot fired in 1871. On the reverse, handwritten correspondence dated November 11, 1914, addressed to a 'dear friend,' mentioning the trenches of Alsace and the war. Postmark and cancellation from Paris visible.
