Monumental statue of the Lion of Belfort, symbol of the heroic resistance of 1870-71, sculpted by Bartholdi between 1875 and 1880. The reverse indicates its dimensions (22 m long, 11 m high) and mentions the publisher 'Lion de Belfort' with a circular cancellation. The postcard bears a cancellation from Belfort.
