Printed text on the back states: 'Built in the 19th century the Bridge of Sighs crosses the River Cam at St. John's College. Punting is a favourite pastime on this stretch of the river.' The postcard was sent to Madame Renès in Paris, France, on 17 July 1961, with a 4 pence stamp of Queen Elizabeth II and a Cambridge cancellation.
