View of the Hôtel de la Préfecture in Caen, an imposing stone building with several floors and shuttered windows, dated 1849. A green stamp and a circular postmark from Caen (Calvados) dated October 21, 1909, are visible. On the reverse, a handwritten address for Monsieur Levroÿ, Châtelaine of Rouen, with a mention of private correspondence.
