View of a timber-framed building from the 14th century in Caen, with the spire of a church in the background. The reverse side features handwritten text dated August 27, 1941, addressed to Madame Odelval at the Hotel Viscagana in Bari, Italy, and a postmark from Bayeux with cancellation.
