Black and white view of a stream crossing a forest of tall bare trees, with a printed poetic verse at the bottom: 'So narrow is our course that sometimes it happens / That a child, by chance, crosses it without effort; / That the golden flowers growing on my bank / Often meet from one side to the other side.' The reverse is blank, with the typical lines of a postcard and the title 'POSTCARD' at the top.
