View of the Prefecture of Chalons-sur-Marne, side of the garden, featuring a large classical building surrounded by flower beds and a pond in the foreground. The back has a handwritten letter dated September 18, 1914, addressed to Paul, expressing the joy of receiving the postcard and family memories. Bottom right, an editor's mark 'ND. Phot.' and a French postmark with cancellation.
