Description

Postcard showing the Tower of the Fort in Chalas, with historical inscription on the front mentioning that it was shot by the archer Bertrand de Gourdon, who mortally wounded Richard the Lionheart in 1199. The back has handwritten text addressed to Paris, a 60-centime postmark and a cancellation from La Coruille (Dordogne) dated April 24, 1943.
