Description

Panoramic view of Chamonix with the Mont-Blanc in the background, the river Arve in the foreground, and pines along the edge. The reverse contains a handwritten letter dated August 30, 1916, addressed to 'my dear Jacqueline,' mentioning an imminent departure and news of the war. A postmark is affixed at the lower right.
