View of the William Gate in Chartres, built in the 17th century on the site of an old tower, with mention of a chapel existing in the 17th century and burned in 1856. On the reverse, a dated letter from 19 September 1922 sent to Mr. Familles in Châteauroux, with two 5-centime stamps and a postmark from VENDÔME.
