Description

Black-and-white view of Chartres Cathedral overlooking the Lower Town, with tiled roofs and paved alleys. Printed text at the bottom: 'CHARTRES. — The Cathedral Viewed from the Lower Town — N° 8.' On the reverse, handwritten correspondence addressed to 'Monsieur Paul' in Montpellier, with a postage stamp and a postmark from Bailleul (Pas-de-Calais) dated August 15, 1938.
