Description

View of the Porte Guillaume in Chartres, built in the 7th century by Guillaume de Ferrières, on the site of an ancient tower. The first floor housed a chapel founded in 1250, which was burned down in 1850. Reverse: French postmark of 1907, Dreux dispatch postmark, recipient in Paris, and handwritten sender's script.
