View of the Château d'Esclimont in Gallardon, in Eure-et-Loir, showing its north facade with its conical towers and central portal. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated 26 July 1914 addressed to a cousin in Bleyre, mentioning the proximity of Gallardon and the location of the house. A 10-centime French Republic postage stamp, cancelled in Bleyre, is affixed at the top right.
