Illustrated postcard of a man in a black suit, with tousled hair, leaning on the ship's rail, with a printed poem at the bottom: 'We parted on the shore, And I'll never see her more; That's why I feel so sad at Southampton'. On the reverse, the publisher 'The Cyrus E. Fife Copyright Co. Ltd.' is mentioned, with a handwritten address in Boulogne-sur-Mer, a red 1 penny stamp, and a Boulogne-sur-Mer cancellation from April 4, 1908.
