Woman in traditional Tarentaise costume of Savoie, wearing a pearl-edged bonnet and wrapped in a large embroidered scarf, holding a basket. Printed text at the top: 'o. COSTUMES OF SAVOIE (Tarentaise)'. On the reverse, a handwritten message addressed to Mr. P. Delpont in Nîmes, with a 'REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE' postal stamp and a dispatch cancellation 'CHAMBERY 26-8-05'.
