Village scene showing a man in uniform being greeted by women in traditional attire near a stone house. Printed text at the bottom: '44 The Arrival of the Leave-Taker'. Reverse: J.L.C. postcard with a warning text about foreign correspondence, handwritten address to Madame Madelaine Brunet in Les Foches de Condrieu, Gier, and a green stamp with postmark 'CONDRIEU ENSEI 10 1905'.
