The engraved text on the stone proclaims: 'HERE ON NOVEMBER 11, 1918, THE CRIMINAL PRIDE OF THE GERMAN EMPIRE COLLAPSED, DEFEATED BY THE FREE PEOPLES WHERE IT HAD AIMED TO ENSLAVE'.
