Black and white view of a ruined fort with an arched entrance, surrounded by barbed wire and debris. On the reverse, printed text recounts the German bombings and attacks of June 15 and July 11–12, 1916, with a circular stamp 'OSSUAIRE de DOUAUMONT (Meuse)' and a note of exclusive ownership by the Ossuaire Committee.
