Bust portrait of Francisco Pétrarque, three-quarters profile, wearing a laurel crown. Printed text at the bottom: 'Born in Arezzo in 1304, he was a famous Italian poet. He left behind poems (model of the genre) extolling the hopeless love he had devoted to the beautiful Laure of Noves. Rome awarded him the laurel crown in 1341, and he died in 1374 in Avignon, near Padua. (Reproduction of a painting from the Musée Calvet, Avignon)'. Reverse: publisher 'C.P.
