Description

Stone statue of a religious figure standing on a base in front of the ruins of an ancient stone chapel. The base bears the inscription 'DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF THOSE WHO DIED IN THE GREAT WAR'. On the back, text in French and English describing the monument as 'so eloquent in its simplicity' and mentioning the publisher Verdun Éditions. A leaf of laurel is placed at the base's foot.
