Equestrian statue of General Chanzy at the center of a square surrounded by buildings and vintage cars. The base bears the inscription 'A CHANZY A L'ARMÉE DE LA CRISE'. On the reverse, handwritten text addresses the card to 'Mme Sourbete, Bergerac, Dordogne', with a 15-franc postage stamp and a postmark of 26-7-1959 from Saint-Jean-d'Angély (Charente).
