Black and white panoramic view of the village of Le Monetier les Bains, nestled at the foot of snow-capped mountains. The printed text at the bottom indicates '81611 Le Monetier et les Guibertes'. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated July 31, 1942, addressed to 'My Dear Cousin', mentions the reservation of a hotel room for the August 15 festivities and a visit to Paris.
