Black and white view of the Palace of Compiègne, with its classical façade and an open space in front. On the back, a handwritten letter dated 11 August 1931 addressed to Miss G. Bal in London, accompanied by two French stamps (50c red and 40c blue) and a circular cancellation from Compiègne.
