Description

Colored postcard showing Cleopatra's Obelisk in London, on the banks of the Thames, with Egyptian sculptures and sphinxes at the base. The reverse indicates it is made of pink granite, originating from Heliopolis, presented to the British government in 1820 by Sir Erasmus Wilson, and that the postcard is part of Valentine's 'Colourtone' series. Postmark and cancellation visible.
