Description

View of the London Monument, built in 1677 to commemorate the Great Fire of London, with a height of 202 feet and having destroyed 89 churches and 13,200 houses. Reverse: postcard printed by The London Stereoscopic Company, stamped with a green 'HALF PENNY' stamp and bearing a cancellation. Handwritten correspondence addressed to Maurice Patin in Tours, France, dated January 8, 1909.
