Description

Dark and richly decorated interior of Lord Darnley's audience chamber at Holyrood Palace, with a large central desk, dark wooden walls adorned with paintings and ancient tapestries, and a suspended chandelier. Reverse: printed English text describing the room as the oldest part of the building (post-dating 1672), with historical tapestries and paintings, and mentioning the photographer Alex. A. Inglis of Calton Hill, Edinburgh.
