View of the aqueduct in Maintenon, designed by Louis XIV to transport water from the Eure to Versailles, with 47 arches and a height of 30 meters, started in 1684 and interrupted during the war of 1688. Reverse: handwritten letter dated September 24, 1916, addressed to Maintenon, expressing patriotic and optimistic sentiments about the war.
