View of a ruined aqueduct in Maintenon, crossing a watercourse surrounded by vegetation. Printed text at the bottom: 'MAINTENON (Eure-et-Loir). — The Aqueducts.' and 'ND. Phot.'. Reverse: handwritten correspondence addressed to a lieutenant at a prisoner of war camp in Ingolstadt, with a stamp and postmark reading 'Prisoner of War' dated 18 July 1917.
