Colored view of the Castle Gate in Mainz, with its two statues on the pillars and the museum building in the background. The reverse has handwritten text dated June 18, 1919, addressed to Alberte Manulle in Mayenne, with a 22-centime French postmark and a visible 'Mainz' cancellation.
