Black and white view of a corner of the Corniche in Marseille, showing a quay on rocks with passersby, tramway cables, and a view of the sea and mountains in the background. The reverse has a handwritten letter dated 1919, addressed to 'Dear Friend' in Lyon, with a postmark and a Marseille cancellation.
