View of the Neues Generalkommando building in Metz, an imposing neo-Renaissance-style building with sloped roofs and turrets, surrounded by a park with pathways. The reverse has a handwritten address to Madame H. Bémond in Villeneuve-la-Garenne (Seine), a 5 pfennig German postage stamp canceled on 13.07.20, with the inscription 'OCCUPATION ALLEMANDE'.
