Description

View of the Serpnoise Gate in Metz, with inscription indicating its successive transformations (1682–1922) and its current state in 1928. The tree-lined avenue extends beneath the arch. Reverse: postcard published by 'Cartes & La Cigogne', sent to Madame Dutrait in La Celle-Saint-Cloud, with a 50-centime green stamp and a Thionville (Moselle) postmark.
