Description

Humorous illustration of a body wash at sea with several sailors around a wooden bucket, one brushing his teeth, another washing his feet, and a third in sailor's uniform observing. On the reverse, handwritten correspondence dated before 1914, addressed to 'My dear friend' in Saint-Dominique, mentioning a return to Basse-Terre and the commander's departure on 5 April. Stamp and postmark not visible.
