Scene of Jean Valjan's fountain in Montfermeil, inspired by 'Les Misérables' by Victor Hugo, with several characters and a dog in a natural setting. The reverse has a handwritten address to Mlle Aimée Courroux in Paris, a note about correspondence from the countryside, and a 6-centime green stamp canceled.
