Description

Colorized view of the Pont du Gard, a three-level Roman aqueduct crossing a watercourse surrounded by vegetation. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated May 12, 1956, sent from Nîmes to Paris, with a 12 franc stamp depicting the Pont du Gard and a cancellation 'ESSENCE DOURHONE'.
