Black and white view of the fortress castle of Niort, with its cylindrical towers and surrounding wall, surrounded by trees and a lively street. On the reverse, a postcard sent from Rochelle (6F stamp, postmark of 10/07/1938) to Mr. Octru in Paris, with the inscription 'Souvenirs' and the address 'Le Puy, 11e Loire'.
