View of the Noirmoutier castle, fortified in the 17th century, with four towers and a surrounding wall, whose history is described on the back: founded in the 10th century to protect the Saint-Philibert abbey, it was captured by the English and, after the Revolution, the defender was shot on January 2, 1794. The back also mentions a stamp and a cancellation.
