Description

View of the Church of the Madeleine in Paris, presented as a copy of the Parthenon in Athens, begun in 1764 and completed in 1843. The pediment depicts the Last Judgment, the bronze doors are engraved by Triqueti, and the colonnade shelters 34 statues. The back features handwritten correspondence dated April 27, 1915, addressed to Madame Maud in Béziers, with a stamp and a Paris postmark.
