Description

View of the Church of the Madeleine in Paris, presented as a copy of the Parthenon of Athens, begun in 1764 and completed in 1843, with a pediment depicting the Decalogue and bronze doors engraved by Triqueti. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated May 31, 1933, addressed to Monsieur Jacob, pharmacist in Lorient, with a 40-centime postage stamp and a Parisian postmark.
