View of the City Hall of Paris, with printed text detailing its history: founded in 1533 by Pierre de Viole, expanded under Louis-Philippe, destroyed in 1871, and reconstructed under the direction of J. H. between 1878-1879. Reverse: handwritten correspondence dated 23 July 1902, addressed to 'Dear Uncle' in Cante, mentioning health, family news, and work in Boulogne. Postmark and cancellation not visible.
