Printed text on the front relates the history of the monument: founded in 1533, expanded under Louis-Philippe, destroyed in 1871 and rebuilt under Ballu (1878–1879). Back: handwritten letter to parents, mentioning visits to Paris (theater, boulevards, Tuileries Garden, Louvre shops, boat ride to the Madeleine). Green 5-centime French Republic postmark canceled in Vébly.
