Stone statue of Pasteur holding a cane, accompanied by a cow, on a partially finished base with scaffolding. The printed text identifies the work as a monument erected in memory of Pasteur by international subscription, motif of the Base. The reverse has handwritten correspondence dated 26 September 1917, addressed to a recipient in Germany, with fluid handwriting and visible folds on the paper.
