Black and white view of a perched village in Italy, with a church with steeple and cypresses in the foreground. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 1937, signed 'B. Poul', describing a visit to the chapel and garden, with mention of a cannon's cuckoo and mountain air. A canceled Italian postage stamp is visible.
