Black and white view of the Prefecture in Poitiers, with its imposing stone-fronted building and slate-roofed structure, framed by a metal gate. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated Saturday, April 14, 1946, written to 'dear friends' from Poitiers, mentioning preparations for a physics exam and the intellectual and physical activities of the school.
