View of Place du Châtel in Provins, featuring the Gothic Cross des Changes from the 15th century, whose base was used to post edicts and decrees, and the old well. The reverse has a handwritten note addressed to 'Mr. and Mrs. T. B.' in Vernon, with a 5-franc stamp and a Provins cancellation from August 14, 1940.
