View of the Tour du Bourreau in Provins, the former residence of the executioners of the criminal bailiwick, including Cyr-Charlemagne-Sanson, who lived there and carried out the execution of King Louis XVI on January 21, 1793. Printed text at the top of the card. The reverse is blank, with dotted lines for the address and message.
